DON'T JUST DREAM IN YR SLEEP.

Swim Deep's latest and greatest "Honey" has just about the best hook you'll hear out of the UK all year ("don't just dream in your sleep, it's just lazyyy"), carrying on from their immaculate Chess Club debut "King City" in fine form. Already singed and honed to sonic perfection, we thought it was case closed until Montreal's Love Thy Brother tapped in and injected their Disney prince of a remix directly into our bloodstream. What follows is a coupling of heavy Daft Punk temperature drops and light galactic Fred Falke chords that swirl together like heavenly bodies in the November sky. We just walked into our favorite video game and we're never leaving.

WORDS SAID IN THE NIGHT.

Halloween's swiftly approaching and with impeccable timing, Chrome Canyon (who first enchanted us with his Kate Bush rework earlier this year) returns to transform St. Lucia's massive single, "All Eyes On You", into a 21st century "Thriller", dancing zombie parts and all. Dressing them up in an '80s frightside costume, the Apes & Androids alumnus gives St. Lucia the ol' 1-2 bite, injecting some Daft Punk funk into their varicose veins with all the aggressive bombast of those early Justice records. It's a spectacularly dark remix under Chrome Canyon's watchful gaze, who like an omnivident Sauron eye, always knows how to pick up the suspense right when the end is in sight. It's a wicked reinterpretation of one of our absolute favorite songs of the year, and we've left it out on our doorstep below for y'all to sink your teeth into for free. Not a trick, just a treat.

WE DON'T CARE IF THE SUN COMES UP.

With CMJ and our massive blowout party with Chess Club and Plugged In now firmly in the rear view mirror, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came out for the night; it was far and away the most fun and successful event we've ever put on and a big reminder of why we even do this whole music thing in the first place. One of the many highlights of the evening was an absolute blinder of a set from The Knocks, capped off by their MASSIVE new single "Dancing With The DJ", easily the biggest track they've written yet with the serious potential to be a future chart smash with the right campaign behind it. With HeavyRoc homegirl Julia Tepper on the infectious central hook and Mr. JPatt sounding better than ever on the verses, it's on some serious Discovery-era Daft Punk shit, only more human and with a healthier appetite for raging. Basically it's your go-to party jam for the next six months, you can thank The Knocks later.
