POPSHOP WEST 005: GOLDROOM + SPECIAL GUESTS

Popshop West has been enjoying a golden run of packed out shows these past few months, and now we're back with a very special fifth installment, going LARGE and taking it back to where it all began at Echoplex on October 25th. Leading the charge will be Popshop NYC staples Ghost Beach and Carousel - both on their maiden voyages out west - with the sunkissed electronics of Goldroom headlining the initial lineup, but be sure to check back Monday the 22nd for a very large, very special guest headliner announcement. The Popshop takeover continues next week as we set our sights on Boston, teaming up with The Chuckness to bring you a double headliner affair for the ages. Fresh off their spotlight-grabbing collaboration on one of the year's biggest tracks, "Hollywood", RAC and Penguin Prison look set to launch Popshop Boston in style. They're both bona fide headliners in their own right, so expect this one to be LARGE, and maybe we'll even get a live collaboration of "Hollywood" out of it. WHO KNOWS. Getting things started early will be the new favorite sons of the Berklee electro scene, Carousel, fresh off a rousing Popshop debut in NYC earlier this month. Last month's Popshop was another sold out classic and the stuff of legend, but next month's lineup is quite literally a dream come true. Yes, the rumors are true, we've got French electro heavyweight Danger - presumed missing since the great electrowars of 2007-2008 - as he makes his triumphant return to New York with a brand new, never-before-seen live show. We don't know where he's been hiding these past few years, but we do know that he threw down one of the most amazing shows we've ever seen when he obliterated Berlin in 2008, and we've been dreaming of having him on the Neon Gold stage ever since. And as if that wasn't enough, we've got our favorite Brooklyn partystarters Body Language tearing the roof off the place live, plus Boston synth radicals Carousel getting things started early and our main man Xaphoon Jones keeping it going late.
